Net Worth Calculator

What you own minus what you owe. Two minutes to the most honest number in personal finance — calculated in your browser, uploaded nowhere.

Current accounts, savings, investments, pension pots, property value, vehicles, anything sellable of real value.

Mortgage balance, loans, credit cards, overdrafts, money owed to family.

Why one number beats ten apps

Income feels like progress, but plenty of high earners are broke in slow motion. Net worth cuts through: it captures saving, debt, and asset growth in a single figure that either rises or doesn't. Checked quarterly, it is the feedback loop that tells you whether the year's financial decisions actually worked.

Moving the number

Only three things move net worth: spend less than you earn (the gap becomes assets), pay down debt (especially expensive debt — see the debt payoff calculator for the cheapest route), and let assets compound (the compound interest calculator shows what patience is worth). The first one funds the other two, and it is a budgeting problem — which is where a zero-based budget comes in.

One habit worth stealing: track net worth and celebrate the boring milestones — first time positive, first time above a year's salary. The number compounds slowly and then all at once, exactly like the interest table.

Track the trend, not just today's number

Net worth only becomes powerful when you watch it move. Zeroed tracks your net worth continuously from the accounts you already budget with — on your device, no cloud, no account.

Frequently asked questions

What is net worth?

Everything you own (assets: cash, savings, investments, pensions, property, vehicles) minus everything you owe (liabilities: mortgage, loans, credit cards, overdrafts). It is the single most honest one-number summary of your financial position.

Is a negative net worth bad?

It is common, especially early in adult life — a student loan or a new mortgage easily outweighs early savings. The number that matters is the direction: tracked quarterly, a rising net worth means your decisions are working, whatever the absolute figure says today.

Should I include my pension and my home?

Most people include both: pension pots at current value, the home at a realistic sale price with the outstanding mortgage as a liability. Some prefer a separate "liquid net worth" that excludes them. Either is fine — just be consistent between check-ins.

Is my financial information stored anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser on this page and disappears when you close the tab. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
